We mean unscrupulous re-sellers peddling you Fosterical products at marked-up prices that don’t tender any royalty back to their creator.
Yes, it happens. You may find Foster’s books on Ebay. On someone’s Etsy, or perhaps on some other independent re-marketing site. You might see them priced upwards of $75 or more, for a single copy!
This isn’t our doing. It’s just the way of the wild frontier that is The Internet. To be honest at risk of down-selling ourselves, Foster’s books are not exactly collector’s items… yet. If you took your original copy of say, Just Wrong to the guy on Antique Roadshow, he might try to steal it from you… but not give you a collector’s price for it.
But there are morals-free third party re-sellers who may try to convince you to buy at those inflated prices. If anything rubs us the wrong way, this is it. Buying from these hucksters is a lose-lose. Though the reading enjoyment may not waver, you’re still spending more than you need to – and what’s more, there is no royalty percentage going toward the author!
