OUTSUPERED – 4 Stars (out of 5)

Rob Foster's Outsupered is a terrific, rollicking superhero epic tale. The characters are great. And if you've ever been a comic book fan, it's fun trying to pick out who some of the characters are based on. Foster also excels at action writing; his fight scenes are played out on a wide-scale, literally out of this world at times. So, why the four stars? Foster's writing has a few issues, most of them technical and easily fixed (question marks not in dialogue parentheses, but in the tags; and dialogue tags that sometimes go one too long, telling way too much). Having said that, at times Foster's writing is brilliant. The good news? He's only getting better. Even better? I understand there'll be a sequel. Outsupered is highly recommended. I'm looking forward to the sequel!

Who are we to nitpick? Style issues are fixable. Fellow writers bat each other around.
